A group chat allegedly by ANC comrades who were gossiping about former president Jacob Zuma, and calling that he should be expelled from the party has been exposed. The WhatsApp group message was shared on social media media by Nathi Sithole, a member of the ANC in Kwa-Zulu Natal province. He was evidently not happy that some allegedly senior ANC members are busy calling for Zuma to be expelled and gossiping in group chats.”There are very senior ANC comrades who open WhatsApp groups to talk about President Zuma instead of building the ANC to respond on the challenges faced by South Africans. All they know is hatred for president Zuma nothing else,” said Nathi Sithole.
The Kwa-Zulu Natal comrade, Nathi Sithole said if comrades continue to talk about Jacob Zuma, they must forget about renewal. He said these senior ANC members must discuss about reviving the movement instead of channeling their energy on Zuma. In the group chat some comrades were questioning why Jacob Zuma is not expelled from ANC. They said he think he is too special, which is why he continues to throw marbles without facing any consequences. Zuma’s backers have however long warned that expelling the former president from the movement has dire consequences.
“The renewal of the ANC will not happen as long as they talk about Zuma everyday. The renewal of the ANC is in the policies of the ANC that they are ignoring, focus on building the ANC and stop talking about Zuma,” said Nathi Sithole.RET comrades who came to the defense of Zuma after the group chat messages were exposed, said it looks like they will be singing “Wenzeni uZuma” for a long time come 2023.
