A Twitter trend #SayNoToVaccineMandate has been created in the form of a campaign against any vaccine obligations in South Africa. This trend was created by anti-vax activists after the ACDP’s court case against the government.

The ACDP took the department of Health and SAHPRA to court in order to stop child vaccine doses. It has been recorded that over 200,000 South African children have been vaccinated against Covid-19. The ACDP counsel, Bongani Luthuli had claimed that no medical consensus has justified the rollout of vaccination to children. He further stated that nothing proves that children are the most vulnerable to this pandemic.

“There is no classical data and raw data that shows that children are the most vulnerable to this pandemic and that in fact, they can transmit the virus to the next person, in fact, we have not seen a medical consensus that justifies the rollout of vaccination to children. We submit that children are being used as guinea pigs with this exercise,” said Bongani Luthuli, the ACDP Counsel.

The news soon drove Twitter users to launch an aggressive campaign that slams the government for any form of COVID-19 obligatory vaccinations.

Here are some of the resistant reactions that inspired thousands more….

“ACDP must win the court case #SayNoToVaccineMandate we cannot allow the government to violate our rights and be quiet about it,” @Radebe_merci said.

“May the Court rule in favour of ACDP Raised fist vaccinating the same people who can’t even put on a mask is pure madness!!” said @XUFFLER.

“Minors are legally limited in so many ways in order to ‘protect’ them, and now the government is saying that a parent’s consent on vaccination isn’t necessary? Please! #SayNoToVaccineMandate,” @MosheSeakakgole said.

“We don’t say people shouldn’t be vaccinated, all we are saying is that it must not be forced. It should be an individual will to get vaccinated #SayNoToVaccineMandate and as for children they must get consent from parents,” @Radebe_merci said.
