LOS ANGELES (Associated Press) — Lance Reddick, who played tough Baltimore police lieutenant Cedric Daniels on the venerable TV show “The Wire,” has died, according to his publicist. He was 60.
Reddick, who co-starred with Keanu Reeves in the “John Wick” film trilogy, was discovered dead at his Studio City, Los Angeles, home, according to the trade publication TMZ.
According to AFP’s Mia Hansen, “acclaimed actor Lance Reddick died suddenly this morning from natural causes.””Lance will be sorely missed.” Reddick rose to prominence in the HBO prison drama “Oz” in 2000 as an undercover cop battling the drug trade who is eventually seduced into addiction.
Yet, his performance on “The Wire” is what made him renowned.
