The South African Police have gone in search of the killers of fitness and personal trainer, Lawrence Masinge on Wednesday night during a live zoom online workout session.
SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, said police had launched the manhunt after armed robbers shot and killed the 40-year old fitness instructor in Saulsville, Tshwane, while he was presenting an exercise class to more than 200 people at around 19:20 on Wednesday.
Masondo said the motive for Masinge’s murder could not be confirmed at this stage of the investigation.
“Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or assist apprehend the suspects to please call the nearest police station or crime stop on 08600 10111,” Masondo said.
He said the information could also be provided to the police anonymously via the MySAPS App that can be downloaded onto any smartphone.
