A hunt for 15 robbers who bombed an ATM at Acornhoek in Bushbuckridge and made away with the money on the early hours of Wednesday has begun. No form of arrest has been made yet as investigation is still going on according to the Police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohala.
“The police report indicates that a security guard was on duty when he noticed a group of about 15 armed suspects who then went for an ATM and detonated some explosives.
“It is said that the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled the scene.”
Mohlala said further information surfaced that the armed robbers got away in two vehicles, a Toyota Camry and a VW Golf.
“No one has been arrested as yet.”
Police urge anyone with information that can assist in the investigation or the whereabouts of the suspects to immediately contact Detective Lieutenant Colonel Albert Manzini at 0823189925.
