Kuli Roberts’s family has announced that the media personality’s funeral and memorial services will be streamed live this week.

Former Kaya FM radio presenter Nomakula “Kuli” Roberts passed away on Wednesday 10 February. Tributes have been pouring in from close friends, family members and fans of the media personality.

Her sister Hlubi Mboya-Arnold, announced that Roberts’ memorial service will take place at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg, Gauteng on Wednesday 16 February. Her funeral will take place at a private ceremony in Johannesburg on Thursday 17 February.

KULI ROBERTS DEATH

A close friend to Kuli Roberts confirmed her death on Thursday 11 February. According to the friend, the 49-year-old passed away around 22:00 on Wednesday evening, shortly before a radio interview.

When the news broke, Roberts quickly topped Twitter’s trending lists with all her friends, fans and colleagues remembering her fierce spirit.

In a statement, her family requested privacy to mourn their daughter, sister and mother.

The media personality leaves behind her two children, grandchild, parents and three siblings.

FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL DETAILS

On Monday 14 February, Hlubi Mboya-Arnold shared details of her sister Kuli Roberts’ funeral and memorial service.

In the statement, Roberts’ family also thanked the public for their support.

A memorial service for Kuli Roberts will take place on Wednesday 16 February at 10:00 at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg, Gauteng. Kuli Roberts’ funeral will take place at a private ceremony on Thursday 17 February at 09:00.
