The unending violence in Harrismith has become a nightmare for the residents as community members intensify their protest action.

Residents set a truck alight on the N3 on Wednesday, bringing traffic to a complete standstill.

For weeks now, community members have been demanding access to basic service delivery and to be removed from the Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality.

They have promised to continue demonstrating until President Cyril Ramaphosa intervenes.

Meanwhile, six people have been arrested for public violence and will appear in court on Friday.
