Beyoncé’s charity Bey-GOOD is celebrating and honouring black artist’s from all over the world.

Just last night, the BeyGOOD Twitter account shared that they were celebrating Mzansi’s very own, Cassper Nvoyest in the afrobeat and hip hop music genres.

BeyGOOD is Beyoncé’s charity programme that was founded in 2013 during her Mrs Carter World Tour. The organisation works with other local charities to help raise funds and scholarships for college students.

The BeyGOOD account said it is, “Celebrating the brilliance and creativity of Black Musicians who have influenced the world through their art.”

President Jimmy Carter initiated Black Music Month on June 7, 1979, where he declared that June would be the month of black music. Black Music Appreciation Month is an annual celebration of African-American Music in the United States of America.

Some of the other artists that the account has honoured this month, include Mary J. Blige, Bob Marley and Elza Soares.

The tweet celebrating Nyovest was published last night and other Twitter users tagged him to bring it to his attention.

The local rapper was caught off-guard when he saw the tweet and only had one word to say, “wow”.
Other South Africans were overjoyed to see Nyovest receive recognition from Queen B and hailed him as the GOAT (Greatest of all time).

They can say whatever they want to say. But my GOAT THEE DON @casspernyovest is THEE BEST!!!!!
Many Twitter users said once an artist receives the stamp of approval from Beyoncé, you know that they have made it big.
