After a strong first “half” of the 2022/23 season, Orlando Pirates midfielder Monnapule Saleng reportedly signed a new contract with the team. Saleng, 24, has performed admirably for the Soweto giants since returning to Buccaneers after a loan stint at Swallows FC.

He helped the team win the MTN8 trophy, which was their first season trophy. “A KickOff club source says that the Bucs have offered Saleng a better contract. “Players endorsed from First Division and improvement foundation generally sign a specific agreement when elevated to the main group.

According to the KickOff website, “there is a clause that allows them to get better contracts depending on their performance and behavior in the first team. “Saleng has done well by securing a more favorable contract. Additionally, the fact that he is currently playing for Bafana Bafana justifies the Pirates’ offer of an improved contract. In the meantime, Orlando Pirates will face Mamelodi Sundowns on December 30 at Loftus Versfeld, their first league match since the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.
