A video of radio personality Bujy Bikwa telling Mac G that he beat up his neighbour and got arrested on an episode of Podcast and Chill resurfaced and trended on Twitter as Tweeps continued to weigh in on his altercation with Boity Thulo.

Mac G and Sol Phenduka also discussed the altercation on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill which was shared to Twitter on Friday 8 October.

RESURFACED CLIP OF BUJY AND MAC G

Following the news that Bujy was granted bail of R2000 for his altercation with Boity, the pair trended on Twitter. While controversial podcast host Mac G also topped Twitter’s trend list. This was because a clip of an old interview between him and Bujy resurfaced and went viral.

As Tweeps continued to argue whether the altercation was a matter of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) or alleged assault, the resurfaced clip emerged. This led many to point out that the alleged assault was not the former Metro FM host’s first act of violence.

In 2017, Bujy reportedly “stabbed” his neighbour and was arrested. In the viral clip he explained what actually took place at the time.

“Because I had a temper, a temper like quick, fast. So, I beat up my neighbour who used to be very abusive towards my mother. The guy was a really mean person to my mother, in Orange Farm,” said Bujy.

He went on to say that they had a fall out because the tribe was attacking his younger brother. The radio personality explained that the media received the dockets but did not have the facts and that is why it was reported that he stabbed his neighbour.

He added that he was arrested twice because he beat up both brothers and the second opened the case later.
