Mbeki and his convoy were seen driving up to the Johannesburg City Hall. The Gauteng province’s premier, Panyaza Lesufi, welcomed him. The presence of former president Jacob Zuma is unknown at this time. The official memorial service honoring the late founding Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Frene Ginwala, was held in Johannesburg, and members of Parliament were spotted coming.
