In case you may had forgotten , a report was issued regarding an “Amapiano ” and Afro-pop artist who was arrested this year for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old . The latest update is that the alleged rapist appeared again in the Stilfontein District Court , North West . It was highlighted by the Daily Sun in the report that the artist was remanded in custody.

In accordance with the report , the case was postponed to the 12th of January 2023. This means that he will be spending another weekend behind bars for the alleged rape incident .An address was provided by the artist’s lawyer , Thabang Mofokeng to the court .The address that was provided will be verified by the police , before he is granted bail .

When the lawyer was asked to comment on the alleged rape of a 14-year-old , he preferred not to comment without the permission of his client .Thabang only promised to make a comment when his client makes another appearance inn court . Since the 24-year-old artist has not pleaded to the charges against him , his identity will not be revealed until then .

The Daily Sun was informed that the artist who is originally from Eastern Cape was allegedly assaulted by the family of the 14-year-old victim’s family after the incident. It was informed that the artist first appeared in court on the 3rd of January 2023 , before the matter would be postponed for the artist to get legal presentation.

Information available highlighted that the artist got arrested on the 28th of December 2022 . The police spokesperson in the North West ,Colonel Adele Myburgh made a confirmation of the alleged rape . It was also confirmed that the artist opened a case of assault against his alleged attacker.
