Grassy Park police are on the hunt for a group of men who are accused of attacking and raping young women walking to the shops.
Station commander, Colonel Dawood Laing, says a shocking case of a domestic worker who was attacked and raped in a driveway has cops searching for the attackers across the precinct.
“The incident took place on 2 May when a 28-year-old woman who works as a domestic worker in the area was accosted by three suspects,” says Laing.
“She was walking home from the shop in Ontong Way at about 6.30pm and the three unknown suspects approached her and held her at gunpoint.”
Laing says CCTV footage obtained shows the men approaching the woman, but when a resident comes out of their home, they pretend to be friends, and one puts his arm round her shoulders.
“She also pretended to know them because the one guy was holding her at gunpoint, but it is unclear if the resident who came out of their house could see the firearm.
“The suspects took her to a quiet driveway where all three men raped her.
“She came to the station the next day to report the incident and a rape docket was opened.
“During the investigations, we found that another woman in Fourth Avenue says the same three men approached her last week and held her at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her, but she did not want to open a case.”

Laing says cops have been searching for the suspects for a week now, but have been unable to trace them.
“This is a serious and horrific thing they are doing and we must stop them before there are more victims.”
