South Africa is donating more than 2 million Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to African countries.
The donation is being made through the African Renaissance Fund in agreement with the African Vaccination Acquisition Trust.
It is valued at almost R300million.
The vaccines will be produced at the Gqeberha Aspen Pharma manufacturing plant.
The aim to assist African countries and to vaccinate at least 60 percent of the continent’s population.
