Police have opened an investigation after another two children allegedly died in Mpumalanga after reportedly eating noodles before leaving for school.
According to a report, the children, siblings died within an hour of each other.
Tissue samples of both children were taken and sent to the police’s forensic laboratory in Pretoria.
Thato Makofane, 9, and her 13-year-old brother, Keamogetswe, died within an hour of each other after eating the noodles last week.
The deaths of the Embalenhle siblings come a week after three children died in the Eastern Cape.
It is not yet known if the children ate noodles from the same manufacturer.
