The memorial service for the award-winning artist Mandla Maphumulo popular known by his stage name Mampintsha was held live today. Various artists and members of the community wee gathered at the Ethekwini Community Church, where the service was held.
His widow, Bongekile Simelane also attended the service. Mampintsha died at the age of 40 after suffering from stroke. He was a member of Big Nuz member. Mampintsha has passed away and there’s only one member who is left in the group, Danger. Danger is the last remaining member of Big Nuz member.
The musician has promised Mampintsha’s fans and followers in the memorial service that, this is not the end for the Kwaito group. He says that there will be collaborations with other various artists in the industry who have always been supportive to the trio. DJ Tira says that although losing Mampintsha has been devastating, they know that it is on their shoulders to bring Bongekile Babes Maphumulo back to the level she once was in the entertainment industry.
Dj Tira said that when Babes Wodumo first entered into entertainment industry, she was charging R100, 000. He said Babes need to get out of comport zone and work hard because there is Sponge which need to be taken care of. DJ Tira also stated that he will always assist Mampintsha’s son ‘Sponge’ as needed. Mampintsha definitely looking down and smiling from ear to ear, after seeing Babes Wodumo and Sponge honoring him in that manner. The widow Babes Wodumo and her son were seen dancing and singing like their lives depend on it. Babes Wodumo is doing exactly what her husband loved to do, which is singing and dancing. Babes were celebrating her husband the best way she knew how.
