At times, I keep wondering when the problem of kidnapping, car hijacking, rape and murder will come to end in South Africa. Every time, different sad and heartbreaking news about people who are killed keep surfacing of different media. It doesn’t make any sense to continuously seeing such news on daily basis. It has ruined the reputation of the country and soon, many foreign investors will vacate the country due to the high rate of insecurity.

The most annoying part is killing of children and women especially after raping them. According to reports from media this evening, a 16 year old girl named Sanele Mbisi was allegedly shot to death on 26th December 2022 in Soweto. It was reported that she was shot twice in her head which eventually led to her death. Those who were at the scene claimed that she was robbed of her cell phone .

Why should someone be killed because of ordinary cell phone that could easily be afforded. Some things are not rational at all yet people still engage in doing it. This story has left many hearts broken and the government should not take this for granted. Enough is enough in Soweto and other parts of the country where killing is becoming rampant. They should make sure that security agents are all over any society where there is constant violence.How do you feel about the passing of the young girl?
