PODCAST AND CHILL HOSTS SCAMMED BY FAN

Podcasters Sol Phenduka and MacG from Podcast and Chill said they were devastated when they realised that they were scammed into a supposed meeting with Tom Cruise by one of their chillers.

MacG said it all started when a chiller contacted their location manager after one of their episodes and told them that he could arrange a meeting with them and the award-winning actor Tom Cruise.

The chiller e-mailed them and said he works for the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and that Tom Cruise will be shooting Mission Impossible between Mpumalanga and Limpopo at the time of sending the email.

The chiller said he’s in charge and they can send them paperwork and NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements).

Sol only realised they were scammed when they arrived at the location and even added that they need to boost their security as they might not be so lucky next time.

Phenduka also said they could’ve been hijacked and gotten killed and that they’re lucky to be alive.

The podcasters also revealed that the chiller only scammed them to meet them in person because he is a big fan.

TOM CRUISE SHOOTING MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IN MZANSI

Tom Cruise was in South Africa filming the 8th installment of the Mission Impossible franchise in February.

The 59-year-old was shooting in Limpopo and was reportedly staying in a small bush town – Hoedspruit.

Hoedspruit residents told the publication that they greeted the actor in the morning on his way to work and in the evening when he returns.

“Every morning Tom arrives in a car with his security and film director where he is met by a helicopter.”

“Tom always walks around the helicopter and does pre-flight checks before climbing in and piloting it himself to the film location,” Antares Bush Camp and Safari owner, Mel Owtram said.

“Then anytime between 16:30 and 18:30 he returns and lands in the same spot.”

“The people of Hoedspruit gather in anticipation, waiting for his arrival, and the security guards are extremely friendly and chat and even take selfies with the kids.”
