South African multiple Award-winning Hip Hop, Songwriter Nasty C has signed a deal with DEF JAM records through a deal with Universal Music Africa.

His official U.S debut premiered on Apple Music on March 26th.

The coolest kid in Africa made South Africa proud as he is going to be on the same record label with Nas, Fabulous, Jadakiss, Big Sean, Missy Elliot, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar who are in same Def Jam Records.

Nasty C has joined other African artists who are Affiliated with Global Labels.
They include Burna Boy who has a pact with Atlantic Records.
Tiwa Savage signed a deal with Universal, Motown Records & Island Records.
Fuse ODG with 3 Beat, Black Coffee, with Ultra, Wizkid signed with RCA Records, Davido signed with Sony Music Global, and Olamide and Santi signed to EMPIRE and LVRN respectively.

Jeff Harleston, who is the Def Jam Recordings interim Chairman,/CEO, made this known when the signing took place.
In his words β€œNasty C is very unique and who is also forward-thinking as an artist, he is at the forefront of a new generation of rappers emerging fro seem Africa. Def Jam is a globally recognized brand which represents excellence in hip-hop, and we are super excited to have Nasty C in our team, he is an international star with real vision and talent, we are honoured to have him in the family.”

In response, Nasty C said, ” It is really a very powerful thing to be a part of  Def Jam Family,” it is a record label with a very high reputation, that has made the careers of many artists I always look up to”

Thousands of fans and well-wishers have sent their warm gratitude.

He premiered the video, “There they go” which was filmed in Nasty C’ hometown in Durban, South Africa.
The video was directed by the talented, Andrew Sandler.
The video is the first among all the songs in his upcoming album he titles “Zulu man with Some Power”

Nasty C entered the centre stage in 2012 when he released the first mixtape he called “One Kid, A Thousand Coffins”.

Which followed by the sophomore mixtape Price City in 2014, and the debut album Bad Hair, in2016.

Nasty C has earned several nominations and awards which includes the South African Hip-Hop Awards’ Best Freshman prize, four Metro FM Music Awards, as well as being nominated in 2019 for a BET Hip-Hop Award in the best international flow category and of course the MTV Europe Music Award.

His second album Strings and Bling recorded massive success.
Nasty C was also named as A Forbes β€œAfrica Under 30” and GQ Musician of the Year honoree, Nasty C also has bagged several endorsement affiliations with Puma, Red Bull and Mercedes.
