Meet multi-talented Lalela Lali Mswane who is the new Miss South African 2021, a ballet dancer, model and beauty queen with law degree and also a talented vocalist.

Biography of Miss SA 2021

The ballet dancer and LLB (Bachelor of Laws) graduate has reached a milestone where she is in contention for the title of being the next Miss SA 2021. She is the daughter of Eswatini born former diplomat and minister, the late Muntu Mswane. The 24-year-old Mswane studied at Crawford Preparatory in Pretoria where she fell in love with her ballet training which she started at the tender age of nine.

It was her high school education which gave her the opportunity to expand her dance knowledge as dance studies comprised music appreciation, dance history and theory, anatomy and practical. In June 2020 she established her nonprofit organization called the Lalela Mswane Foundation, which strives to empower the youth to soar beyond the boundaries that life has placed before them.

On October 16, 2021, she competed against nine other finalists at Miss South Africa at the Grand Arena of GrandWest in Cape Town, South Africa, where she was crowned Miss South Africa 2021.

She is 24 years old when she was crowned Miss South Africa 2021.

She will represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2022.

In an interview with this publication, Mswane revealed that she was aiming at tackling the unemployment rate in that country and was elated at being part of the Miss SA top 10 finalists. 

“I believe that my advocacy against the abatement of unemployment in our nation is one which requires dire attention,” she said.

She went on to add that having the full support of the Miss South Africa organisation would provide greater impact in the quest for meaningful and long-lasting solutions.
