The talented musician broke down on social media while explaining her disputes with Open Mic and again at the Metro FM Awards ceremony, where she pleaded with the record label to pay her what she is owed.

Paige Supports Makhadzi

Paige, a well-known musician and former member of Open Mic Productions, has stepped up to support Makhadzi. She is best known for her remix of Makhadzi’s song “Ghanama” in Isizulu.

Millions of Streams, No Payment: Paige’s Experience

Paige revealed that she understands the situation Makhadzi is currently facing since she has been dealing with the same issue with Open Mic herself. She pointed out that her music had received millions of streams, yet she has never received any payment or benefit from them.

Paige signed a contract with Open Mic in 2021, but she never received a copy of the agreement as promised. When she finally received it in July 2022, the three-page contract she signed had turned into a 17-page contract, with her initials and signature on every page.

Open Mic’s Broken Promises and Forged Signatures

Paige was surprised to find out that her initials and signature were forged, and when she asked to see the original copy of the 17-page contract, Open Mic could not produce it, providing excuses instead.

Fearful Silence: Threats on Paige’s Life

Paige revealed that she and her team chose to remain silent out of fear for their lives since they had received threats from Open Mic. Nevertheless, she trusted that God would answer her prayers, and she would make music despite the difficult situation.

At the time of publishing, Open Mic had not responded to Paige’s allegations.
