Over the past several days, Boksburg has been the township that has received the most attention on social media. This is in response to a horror that occurred recently that resulted in the deaths of more than ten individuals and left many others hospitalized in extremely severe conditions. The driver of a gasoline tanker caused the accident when he tried to force the tanker to pass below a bridge that was too small for it. Numerous homes were destroyed, and a number of people lost their lives.
This is going to be one of the explosions that gets written about in history books. (Boksburg community)The number of people who have passed away at this location continues to rise, despite the fact that medical personnel are doing all in their power to keep the situation under control. If you can remember well, there was a trending video of a chubby lady who was running away from the accident scene with her clothes off and her skin peeling off. Reports say she is a nurse who was going to the hospital, and when she got to that bridge, she got out of her car to see what was happening; unfortunately, the tanker exploded just next to her.
The sad news is that the lady passed away later at Or Tambo Memorial Hospital. Her name was Kgothatso Magopane; she was a mother of four, and when she left home to go to work, little did she know that something bad would happen. Her family is left in deep pain; when her uncle was speaking to Panyaza Lesufi, he said she was a breadwinner, and now they don’t know how they’re going to raise her children. Her death touched many hearts; even those who didn’t know her were touched after seeing her video running away from the scene.
Panyaza Lesufi visited her family to give condolences and support to the family. In other news, the Boksburg Gas explosion death toll has increased to 26 from 18. The driver of the tanker has since been released from custody due to a lack of evidence. They claim that there are no charges against him. Many people are dissatisfied with this; they claim that the driver must be charged with multiple murder and attempted murder. In my opinion, the driver didn’t do anything wrong because the bridge board that should have accommodated the height of cars was no longer visible.
