He was just a young ambitious photographer and not a thief. This young many was accused of something he did not do, he was killed for a crime he did not commit.

#JusticeforMukundi is a hashtag organized by his friends and family after Mukundi was allegedly brutally murdered. Mukundi was described as an honest and innocent boy and worked as a resident photographer at a News Cafe nearby.

He was accused of stealing car keys and a wallet which was later returned to the owner by the perpetrator but unfortunately, the damage had already been done. Mukundi had been severely beaten and later died from the wounds in hospital.

He was reportedly attacked by a mob justice along side a Venda chief. A video of Mukundi tied at the back of the van while the mob shouts at him have surfaced and it’s very sensitive to watch. This incident took place on Tshavhani (Venda). Mukundi and his family deserve justice, his life was cut short for nothing.
