Julius Malema and the EFF disappointed at President Ramaphosa

Towards the end of last year, the position of the Chief Justice was left vacant following the departure of the former South African Chief Justice Mogoeng-Mogoeng.

Around December, President of the republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa started with the process of finding a new Chief Justice.

Out from a big pool, President Ramaphosa nominated five names and sent them to the Judiciary Service Commission to interview them.

The Economic Freedom Fighters, just like the Judiciary Service Commission, recommended Justice Mandisa Maya to be the replacement of Chief Justice.

The Economic Freedom Fighters made it known that they don’t want the Deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo to be the next Chief Justice.

Bad news to the Economic freedom Fighters is that the president of the republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Justice Raymond Zondo as the new chief justice of the republic of South Africa starting from the 1st of April.

The EFF has made their disapproval known with the tweet.
