Full Job Description

The Finance & Accounting Intern will have the chance to gain practical experience working in a Seaspan finance and accounting function. An entry-level professional can take advantage of real-world learning experiences during this internship, which will enhance their career development.

What you’ll do

  • By using data management and documentation, support governance initiatives
  • Using information from D&B reports, corporate websites, and other sources, prepare supplier pre-qualification.
  • Do GST verifications via custom software
  • Create monthly reconciliations by using Excel to group, sort, and organize financial data.

You will bring:

  • Enrollment in a post-secondary business administration or commerce degree program.
  • It is preferable to have finished introductory accounting courses.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the workplace or the classroom
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to interact with ease at all organizational levels
  • Competent technical abilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Financial Systems)
  • A keen eye for detail, the capacity for original thought, and problem-solving
