The Apostolic Christian Council in Zimbabwe has mobilized members to block Somizi Mhlongo from coming to Zimbabwe because of his sexual orientation.

The media personality Somizi has been on many controversial issues, starting with his imbroglio with his ex-husband and the subsequent dismissal from the IDOLS SA TV show.

He was expected to appear at Garwe Restaurant as a guest chef on the 4th November 2021.

Somizi took to Social media to vent his frustration and opinion on the matter.

They’re telling me not to come to their country because I am gay, does not change anything.

He claims that not coming to their country can not change anything in the country accused them of being a hypocrite for hiding behind Christianity to exhibit their homophobic, which he said was the same thing as xenophobia.
