Fikile Mbalula’s election as the African National Congress’ secretary general brought joy to a lot of people. They claimed that he has the vigor needed to take on opponents like Julius Sello Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, and that he is capable of doing so.
It seems like they were correct. Few days ago, the co-founder and commander in chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters Julius Sello Malema announced that the Economic Freedom Fighters had taken a decision to embark on national shutdown. This is because of the power crisis which is happening in the Republic of South Africa.
The Economic Freedom Fighters also wants president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa to resign. African National Congress secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says the Economic Freedom Fighters is seeking relevance with its planned shutdown and President of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Ramaphosa is not going anywhere.
