A 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after he fatally shot a 35-year-old woman on Saturday night at Weza Village, Willowvale.

Police spokesperson Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said the 32-year-old man who was arrested is expected to appear in court on Monday.
“It is alleged that the deceased was with the suspect when an argument broke between the two in their homestead.
“The suspect went to his vehicle and took out a firearm and shot the deceased on her upper body.”
Mawisa said police recovered the firearm that was used in the commission of murder, and a charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition was opened.
The man will appear in the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Acting Amathole District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu has expressed shock and condemned the fatal shooting.
Meanwhile, police are looking for the murderers of a 27-year-old man who was stabbed to death on Saturday evening.
Police spokesperson Captain Nkosikho Mzuku said the Mdantsane police sought suspects following an alleged murder of the man outside a well-known tavern in NU7, Mdantsane, at 23:20 Saturday night.
“It is further alleged that the deceased ran into the yard of the tavern that was already closed and collapsed. The deceased had multiple stab wounds on the body.”
Mzuku said the circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear at this stage.
No arrests effected yet, investigation continues.
Police are following all possible leads that can assist in cracking the case.
