KwaZulu Natal mourns the passing of Cultural Activist and proud Maiden, Sinesifiso Zondi also known as Slay Bhinca. She died as a result of an alleged car accident on Sunday morning 29 May.

Her followers and close friends, took to social media to express their heartfelt condolences and sad emotions towards the passing, one of her close friends Nelisiwe Sibiya who plays Mbali on Durban Gen, also added saying she finds it hard to believe that her all-time partner and friend is no more. The two attended and participated together as proud Maidens and cultural activists in the province of KZN.

Slay Bhinca’s passing, was confirmed to the public by her family in their statement on social media. Reports also state that Lobola negotiations for her took place a few weeks ago and was preparing for an “UMembeso and UMkhehlo celebration.” It is alleged that her passing is a result of a car accident and she was with her fiance at the time who is said to have survived the incident. More messages of condolences have been coming through, mostly from residents of KZN and maidens who knew her on a personal level.
