Cedric Fourie reveals interesting things about himself

Cedric Fourie is the man we all like to love, and I’m not saying this for the ladies only, he plays the role of Lehasa Maphosa in Skeem Saam, and recently he joined the Durban Gen cast as the charming Dr Mthembu.

Who is Cedric Fourie?

Above everything, Cedric is a father, son, brother and grandson. He is also a businessman, and a graduate from the University of Cape Town, on top of that he is also an actor and a network engineer he is basically a man with a lot of hats. He is a philanthropist, as he likes to people from underprivileged backgrounds.

How would you best describe your fashion sense?

His choice in clothing is determined by the mood he is on that day. He says that he likes to experiment with his fashion and one can always tell how he feels from how he is dressed for that day, “I am a storyteller by nature, one can at times tell how I feel based on how I am dressed”. The actor went on to explain that no one inspires his look, and that his inspiration comes from what he sees all around him.


What is your love language?

When asked about his love Language, he noted that he loves words of affirmation. He said, “I believe we need to communicate verbally not just through actions because those can be misinterpreted”. He went on to explain how important verbal communication was, saying that people need to say what they mean and mean and mean what they say.
If you could pause any moment in your life, which would it be?

“I don’t believe in pausing moments. I believe in living it and outliving a moment and recreating it if you feel like you’re not done with that moment.”

Cedric’ precious moment was when his name was called at a virtual graduation ceremony at the University of Cape Town graduate. He explained how after that he went on a baecation in Thailand.

What personal feature are you most insecure about?
When asked about what feature he was most insecure about he said his uneven skin tone, “I hate it so much. Like, my body from my head to knees is one skin colour and then my calves are a shade darker as well as my hands”. he said he just does not like his skin tone which is understandable as most of us struggle with it and if it was not really a problem there would not be lightening cream and even tone creams.

What’s the one song you are embarrassed with in your playlist?

“It would have to be DJ Mujava’s Mugwanti that’s still on my playlist and I need to get rid of it”. he said that the song’s bass-used to make them go crazy back in the day, however those days are gone, and now he can no longer play those songs.

What always makes you laugh?

The actor said he liked teasing people, especially those he works, he is actually not a serious guy as people always make him out to be, and those muscles are definitely not helping.

If you weren’t afraid what would you do?

He says if he was not afraid he would open a scrapyard that would lead him to starting a gas company and start a journalism degree and also do economics. He went on to say that “I also have a fetish which is wanting to have a baby with someone else. My partner and I joke about this a lot but yeah, if I wasn’t afraid, I’d have a baby with someone else and probably get married to my partner”.
