Eskom’s board is once again testifying before multiple parliamentary committees today on the nation’s electricity problems. Megawatt Park is the location of the meeting.

The meeting follows Thursday’s engagements with three workers unions, including the African National Congress as the ruling party. Reports suggest that the meeting has gotten off to a heated start as African National Congress committee members are demanding that board member Clive Le Roux account for his sexist comments.

It is alleged that Le Roux, a few years back told union National Union of Mine workers that women were not designed to take up certain positions. Now it has been reported that the African National Congress members have since walked out of the meeting. Yesterday Parliamentary committees that visited Eskom headquarters today say their first day of engagements was fruitful and empowering, but now it is different stories.
