Bishop Lavis SAPS and the Metro Police have conducted a successful drug bust in the Airport Industrial area, seizing a total of R84 million worth of cocaine. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a warehouse and discovered 16 boxes containing 140 sealed bricks of the illegal substance, which were hidden among other items in the building.

This seizure is significant and is expected to have a major impact on the local drug trade. However, the investigation is ongoing, and an inquiry docket has been opened to determine the full extent of the drug trafficking operation. At present, no arrests have been made, but the police are working to identify and apprehend those responsible.
