A Reece was born Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge on 27th march. 1997 in Pretoria, Gauteng.
A-Reece is a South African rapper, songwriter born currently signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015.
The young rapper became an independent artist after he had an irreconcilable dispute with his former record label. He became famous when he released his single ‘’Couldn’t’’ featuring former label mate, Emtee
In 2016, A-Reece released his debut studio album, he titled Paradise which yielded two hit tracks couldn’t and Mgani in 2017.
He did not waste time and dropped his second album he titled ‘’From Me to You’’ & ‘’Only You’’.

Early life and career
Lehlogonolo Mataboge grew up from the street of Pretoria, Gauteng. He started writing as as kid in school who looked up to his elder brother Phologo Jody Mataboge, also known as P-Jay from the hip hop duo B3nchMarQ.
According to him, his stage name was gotten from his star sign Aries.
In 2014, a record producer PH Raw, recognised A-Reece talent when he released “Cassper’s Picture” a song that is inspired by the life of South African rapper and producer Cassper Nyovest. This made him to sign him to “Raw X Productions” imprint at the age of 16.
As a teenager A Recce released his debut mixtape he titled ‘’Forever King ‘’ in August 2013 and later on released his second project Browniez EP on October 31, 2014 under Mythron/Raw X Records
In 2015 he was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment and released his first single Couldn’t under the label featuring Emtee. He released Cutaways EP on 29 September 2016 which consists of songs that didn’t make the cut for his debut album Paradise His debut album was later released on 21 October 2016 and topped the No.1 spot on iTunes just under 24 hours after its release. He went on to release his second studio album From Me To You And Only You to celebrate the anniversary of his debut album. A year later on 21 October 2018 he released an EP titled And I’m Only 21. In 2018 A-Reece was one in the Top 3 most streamed South African Hip Hop artists.

This was even cemented when the Hip Hop star did a song for her. However the fairy-tale did not end well as Natasha broke millions of people’s hearts when she announced on Massive Metro, that A Recce was just a friend and nothing more.

In august 2013, A recce released his debut mix tape titled ‘’Forever King’’, this was a massive hit and motivqating that he started working on his second mixtape that was released in 2014,which he titled Cassper Picture, which was a reflection of the life of the Hip Hop Living legend Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper was very instrumental in making him famous by exposing him to established record labels and prominent producers like PH Raw, who gave him opportunity to be signed to a record label Raw X productions at the age of 16 years old.
In October 2014, he released another track titled Browniez EP, which became a massive sound in 2015,
A Recce signed a contract with another recording studio, Ambitiouz Entertainment, where he released his hit single ‘’Couldn’t’’. The track became one of the biggest tracks from South Africa hip hop, and made some substantial commercial success.
On September 29th, 2016, A Recce dropped another project EP he named ’’Cuteaways’’.
Consequently, in October 2016, he released his debut album which he labelled ‘Paradise.’ This album peaked at the iTune charts within 24hrs of its release, which became one of the most successful projects from A Recce.
The album fetched him more glory as he went ahead and released an EP in October which named after he turned 21 ‘’ And I’m only 21’’

The projects include Paradise Album in 2016, From Me To You And You Only album in 2017, and the last project Long Lost Letters album, which released in 2018.

- Paradise by A Recce. This is a perfect slow Hip Hop rap music that has everything you need therein, from the flow, the wordplay, to the punch line, to rhyme. One of the best tracks from the young rapper.
- Amber Rose by A Recce was dropped in 2018. The track is a pure class of Hip Hop, ranging from exotic beats, poetic rhyme, and the wordplay were perfectly fused together to bring out another masterpiece.
- Wordz featuring A Reece and Ex global came together on a track titled Kim Kardashian. A Reece went in hard on this one, after the masterpiece on Amber Rose, he took this to another level in 2018. This track was highly appreciated by fans. A Recce currently works with Yung Tyran, Unknown Entity on different projects.
