South Africa’s Thato Mosehle represented the country in an international pageant where she competed in a keenly contested Miss Supranational pageant on Saturday.
The super model, beauty queen was crowned second runner-up at the international competition, with Miss Namibia taking the top spot.
Thato is the first person under the official Miss South Africa Organization banner to compete at Miss Supranational.
“The support from South Africans has been beautiful to see. It pushes me to do my best. I have developed great confidence in myself and my abilities,” Thato said ahead of leaving for the competition, which took place in Poland.
Previously speaking to Channel24, the 26-year-old said her strategy for the Miss Supranational competition was “to be authentic [and] enjoy the process and learn as much as I can”.
“I know that I’ll be proud of myself, and I hope to make the country proud too,” she added.

Dr Thato Mosehle is a South African model and the first runner-up at the 2020 Miss SA competition and the first contestant from the Miss SA organisation to participate in Miss Supranational.
Background
Mosehle’s mother is a policewoman and a very rooted Christian woman. Her father works as an operational director for a security company and started small scale farming. In 2020, Thato’s younger brother was a final year Business Economics student at the North West University.
Origin
She is from Stilfontein, North West Province, South Africa. However she moved to Klerksdorp.

Thato Mosehle was born on April 6, 1995.
Education qualification
Thato Mosehle is a medical doctor and in 2020 she was completing her internship at the Klerksdorp-Tshepong Hospital complex. In 2020 it was reported that she was a part-time makeup student at the Beauty Therapy Institute. She obtained her MBChB degree at the University of the Free State in 2018.
