Big Brother Mzansi is only three days in and already we have lost one of our contestants. QV has chosen to voluntarily exit the house citing mental health and being overwhelmed by her own personal issues.
QV had been reserved in the house which led to people nominating her, however it seems her standoffish attitude was a result of inner turmoil.
A beautiful girl who had all the boys in a frenzy, QV was well on her way to being a favourite but she has chosen to go home. Her exit isn’t all too shocking when you consider that the housemates have been sharing very tough personal stories with each other.
QV officials Twitter wrote a message after her abrupt departure from the show, “I’m grateful for the opportunity which has always been my childhood dream and for that, I’ll never take the moments for granted. One thing you guys should take away from this is that, healing takes time ❤️
Love
QV ❤️ #QVforce #BBMzansi”
People on social media have come in their hoards to support the former contestant for choosing herself. They were all aware that it wasnt an easy decision to make. One user wrote, “What you will not do is blame QV for choosing her mental health as opposed to entertaining you. She did not waste anyone’s space or time. Learn to be empathetic it will take you far in life #BBMzansi” in support of QV.
It can be so easy to be swept away with the urge to be famous that you end up losing yourself. We’ve seen so many stars fizzle due to the stress and pressure of fame. It is very disheartening to witness.
I’m glad that QV realised she needed help, it’s not often that people recognize they need professional assistance. Hopefully she will overcome this and continue on her journey in a better place mentally.
