EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi was slapped by African National Congress (ANC) Blouberg Mayor after delivering a speech in Moletjie outside polokwane.
Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi who is a long standing member of the National Assembly was slapped by a Mayor Councillor, Maria Thamaga, in Blouberg from Bochum.
This happened during Moletjie Moshate matric 2022 honouring ceremony yesterday. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi was slapped after delivering a congratulatory speech to the class of 2021, Ndlozi was on his way down to take a sit.
Attendants from Seshego and Moletjie saw Mayor Councillor Thamaga laying her hand on Ndlozi’s face and subsequently pointing a finger on Ndlozi .
On video which was circulated, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi was heard saying,” She hit me! She hit me!” he was referring to the Mayor.
“Ga ntswarixe, Ga ntswarixe“ this is the mayor of Blouberg who was speaking in her vernacular language (sepedi), she was saying that Ndlozi can go and lay charges against her.
The disbanded Chairperson of the EFF in Limpopo, Jossey Buthane, and other prominent members of the ANC were trying to stop Mayor Thamaga from beating Ndlozi further.
It is alleged that Ndlozi used some of the words which did not sit well with the Mayor when he was still addressing the gathering.
The leader of the EFF, Julius Malema, is expected to be at Limpopo for the whole of this weekend, Malema will start from the Vhembe region in venda where he will be consolidating the ground after he had disbanded the provincial leadership due to poor performance in the Local Government Elections.
Some of the things Malema is expected to attend to is the attacks of Ndlozi by the ANC Mayor. The leader of the EFF will be accompanied by the national officials of the party.
Malema announced on Wednesday in the EFF briefing that the EFF has appointed Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to be the convener of Limpopo since the leadership of EFF in the Limpopo was disbanded.
