After nearly three years of marriage, actress Amanda du-Pont and her husband Shawn Rodriques have officially divorced. Despite no signs that the marriage might have been in difficulty, court documents show that the couple has divorced.

The last time the media personality’s marriage made headlines was in May of last year when she begged a well-known blogger to not mention her name in his rumors after she was charged with dating someone new. After the blogger claimed she had been seen in Cape Town with a new partner, the actress denied having a new boyfriend.

The couple got engaged in July 2018, with Shawn proposing to Amanda during a romantic island picnic in the Maldives. The actress described the engagement as a “dream come true” and shared the news on her Instagram account, showing off her huge engagement ring.

Shortly after the engagement, Amanda shocked her fans by revealing that she was officially married. She opened up about tying the knot and shared that it was her grandmother’s wish to see her get married before she passed away. Though she did not post any wedding pictures or ceremony details on her social media accounts, she wrote a lengthy post on Instagram about her grandmother’s wish to see her walk down the aisle.

Amanda and Shawn’s marriage has now come to an end and it is unclear the reason of the divorce. The couple has kept their private life private and haven’t shared any details on the reason of their separation.
