Clothes have different connotations for different people. While some people think of clothes as a way to cover their nakedness and keep warm when it’s cold, others think of clothes as a way to express one’s own personality. Others see them as a status symbol and a way to show the world that they have made it and are wealthy.

While some may be happy to wear a R70 T-shirt, others prefer very expensive clothing. One man stunned people less than half his age when he wore very expensive clothing in public. The man, 72 year old Bra Mike was more than happy to share his love for expensive clothing in the short interview:

Interviewer: “Please tell us your age”.

Man: “I am 72”.

Interviewer: “72 years old?” (The interviewer can’t believe what he is hearing.

Man: “Yes, 72 years old”.

Interviewer: “What are you wearing on your head?”

Man: “Gucci”.

Interviewer: “Your shirt?”

Man: “Gucci”.

Interviewer: “Pants?”

Man: “Gucci”.

Interviewer: “Shoes?”

Man: “Gucci”.

Interviewer: (Excitedly) “You qear expensive brands”. What are your favorite brands?”

Man: “My favorite brands are Gucci, Burberry London, the one with a scotch design, I also wear Christian Loubotin, I wear Georgio Armani (GA) and you can also include Fabiani. I used to have Diesel and G star raw. I buy at UJ 26 in Italy, I don’t wear fakes.”
