The Congolese footballer, Jean-Marc Makusu could be heading to Tanzania next season.
The 29-year-old joined Orlando Pirates last year from Congolese champions AS Vita Club, but has failed to make an impact, scoring just once in eight matches, all of which he played off the bench.
He has been linked with Young Africans and also with Dar-es-Salaam outfit Simba FC.
The hold-up for Makusu and any prospective move to another club is due to his high salary demands, but according to a Kickoff source, he realises that he needs to play hence the decision to drop his asking price.
“The issue with Makusu has always been his demands. What he was asking for when he came back from Egypt was a bit too much for clubs in Tanzania,” the source said.
“However, he could now lower his demands because he needs to play football again, which hasn’t been happening through his time at Pirates. The big two clubs in Tanzania value him, so it will just be a matter of money agreements.”
