The Economic Freedom Fighters’ leader Julius Malema says he will not accept an apology from a “racist boy”. He says the “boy” needs to be taught a lesson and that there should be a consequence in every racist action. Malema’s utterances come after Newzroom Afrika’s news anchor referred to Malema and former Economic Freedom Fighters’ spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi as “murderers”.
It is understood that earlier today, Stephen Grootes mistakenly referred to the current case involving EFF leader Julius Malema & Mbuyiseni Ndlozi as that of “killing” as opposed to assault. Stephen apologised immediately thereafter.
Grootes in the following bulleting corrected his statement, apologised and & extend his apology to Malema & Ndlozi. Malema however wants nothing of the apology, as he has indicate that he will not be accepting Grootes’ apology.
This latest race issue comes after eNCA journalist, Lindsay Dentlinger last week was lambasted for ordering black politicians to wear their masks, while she interviewed white politicians without masks. This incident happened at the parliament stairs right after the minister of finance, Tito Mboweni delivered his budget speech.
Stephen apologized immediately thereafter. We regret the error & extend our apology to Mr Malema & Mr Ndlozi.
Dentlinger was dragged all over social media for being racist, with some also calling for her dismissal from Enca.
