The ANC exposed DA councillor Racheal Soobiah by posting a video of the councillor displaying excessive alcohol and other substances. They said that this conduct is pathetic in a society ravaged by alcohol abuse.

IOL journalist Sihle Mavuso took to his Twitter account to break the news. He posted the video and this caption, “WATCH: The ANC in the Moses Mabhida region in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands says it is dismayed by this DA councillor from Msunduzi (Pietermaritzburg) displaying excessive alcohol and other substances. It says this conduct is pathetic in a society ravaged by alcohol abuse.”

Soobiah who was a long time ANC councillor in Msunduzi Municipality, who defected to the DA, said she had grown disillusioned with the alleged corruption and incompetence of the ruling party.@Musa479 left this comment on the tweet, “The ANC is not one to speak or judge. They’ve had a number of folks like these. Including rapists and murderers in ANC colours. The ANC should keep quiet.”
