Bheki Mtolo, the secretary general of the African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal, sung praises of President Cyril Ramaphosa at their meeting in KZN yesterday (Tuesday). According to Mtolo, Ramaphosa’s fault is that he is an ethical and honest person.
Mtolo stated that President Ramaphosa has a good reputation and honesty, adding “I think Ramaphosa’s fault is that he’s an honest, ethical man. He is not a liar. I think South Africans prefer liars, and clap hands for liars who say things they will never deliver.
When Ramaphosa stated that the loadshedding problem will not be resolved in three months, he commended the President for being open and honest about it. He asserted that telling lies to get out from under pressure is preferable to the president telling the truth to the public.
Mtolo said that, at least now, South Africans knows what they are going to be faced with, in the next coming months. After having said all this, Mtolo must brace himself for criticism, especially from the RET forces. The electricity crisis in our country is a very sensitive issue at the moment, and unfortunately, most people want to hear about immediate solutions.
