An image of a former Isithembiso and Isibaya actor wearing an ANC t-shirt made quite a stir on social media, prompting Mzansi to request that the Special Investigating Unit look into the matter.

A Twitter user advised the SIU to probe into those actors because they might be beneficiaries of ANC corruption. @Village_Grandpa took to his Twitter account to post the picture and left this caption, “Dear SIU, did you investigate them as well.”Mavuso Magabane, Zakhele Mabasa, Mduduzo Mabaso and Abdul Khoza are the actors captured in the picture.

The primary mandate of the SIU is to investigate serious allegations of corruption, malpractice and maladministration of State institutions, State assets and public money as well as any conduct which many seriously harm the interests of public, and to recover any financial losses suffered by State institutions through civil ligation. The SIU is empowered to take civil action to correct any wrongdoing it uncovers in its investigations.
