“We’re in the thick of Kaizer Chiefs’ biggest rebuild in the club’s history. Here’s our new feature called transfer signing of the day”.
The transfer of the day is a special football player. A player who was more unique because to his character, bravery, and hard work than his ball skills.
We are talking about one of Amakhosi’s best-ever right-backs: Cyril Nzama.
The Soweto-born star arrived at Naturena from Bush Bucks in 2000 to enjoy an eight-year career wearing the Chiefs jersey. Nzama led the Glamour Boys to 12 trophies that included two league titles and the African Winner’s Cup (CAF Confederations Cup).Known as “Skhokho,” Nzama earned 42 Bafana Bafana caps while also captaining Chiefs for several seasons.
He later completed his career at Bay United and Batau FC until his retirement in 2011.
Our new Kaizer Chiefs daily feature is called Transfer Signing of the Day. We look back at every successful Amakhosi transfer dating back from the year 2000.
