An old photo of Mapintsha carrying a casket at a friend’s burial has sparked speculation online. For them, it was unacceptable on a cultural level that the man transporting the body was not even wearing a jacket. Many South Africans have been debating whether or not he should have been required to wear a jacket while carrying the coffin, while some have come to his defense.

The late singer was so devoted to his fellow artists that he would often go to their funerals to console their loved ones and offer his gratitude for the joy music brought them while they were still living.
