The KwaZulu Natal provincial government has pledged to assist with at least half of musician Mampintsha’s funeral costs.The musician and producer passed away last week in hospital after suffering from a stroke.The premiers office in KZN divulged that they would assist with the burial costs of Mampintsha who was considered a musical ambassador from the province.
He is set to be buried on Friday in Durban and people from the music fraternity are set to attend his funeral.The details of the provincial government would assist was laid bare.“In addition to meeting the family halfway with regard to the funeral costs, the province will also provide socio-psychological support to family members and relatives after the passing of the 40-year-old musical superstar,” said spokesperson Lennox Mabaso. Mampintsha rose to prominence after he featured for musical group Big Nuz. Their track Umlilo became a party anthem and many people still dance to the track.
