SANDF has confirmed that there was an incident at the South African Army College Centre in Pretoria.
Army and municipal fire rescue agencies worked together to put out a fire that broke out inside the SA Army College Centre for Conflict Simulation building in Thaba Tshwane, which is located in Pretoria.
According to the spokesperson for the South African National Defense Force (SANDF), Brigadier General Andries Mokoena Mahapa, the fire started around 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
He stated that an investigation was being conducted to determine what caused the fire that had occurred.
The Tshwane Fire Brigade and the South African Air Force Fire Brigade worked together to bring the fire under control.
“The extent of the damage and the costs that are associated with it will be assessed by the chief of the Fire Brigade during an investigation that has already been launched into the causes of the fire,” he said. “This investigation will also include establishing the events that led up to the fire.”
