A famous sports TV presenter was accused by her ex-husband of having an affair, causing their marriage to fall apart.
The presenter and her husband, who cannot be named for legal reasons, separated earlier this year after four years of marriage.
After their breakup, which sent shockwaves through the entire entertainment industry, the presenter applied to the Johannesburg High Court for a subsequent divorce judgment.
She threatened to get a court order against her husband if he objected to her request.
She also said in the papers that they broke up because they “no longer love each other.”
The presenter added that they had signed a settlement, amicably parted ways, and that she would not go all out with him about the division of their joint estate.
The presenter’s husband then filed papers with the court and corroborated his version of why their union was unsuccessful.
He also said he would not object to her divorce petition.
But in a shocking move this week, the husband changed the details of his claim in court papers and said their marriage was over because the former Metro FM host was involved regarding an extramarital affair.
He did not name the person who gave him the horns.
“The marital relationship between the parties has irreparably broken and has reached such a state of disintegration that there is no reasonable prospect of re-establishing a normal marital relationship between them because the parties no longer exist.
In agreement, the parties did not agree on each other’s interests in marriage for a long time, demanding a divorce decree,’ the newspaper read.
The husband asked the court to order the couple to continue receiving the wages of their only child.
Efforts to solicit feedback from former couples failed when they ignored our phone calls and text messages we sent them.
