Award-winning South African comedian Warren Masemola has announced that he will join the international cast of Antoine Fuqua’s Showtime film King Shaka.
Masemola, who has starred in many South African-produced films including iNumber Number, described her role in the series as a dream come true without disclosing exact details.
The TV series is about King Zulu, Shaka and the actor said he is happy to be part of the outstanding cast.
He will join British actor Charles Babalola, Thando Dlomo from The Woman King, Thapelo Mokoena and Aissa Maigo as the main characters.
It is believed that filming and production of the series will begin in September in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) area and will air in 2023 on Showtime.
