The Netflix series has been a trending topic since it’s release last week, and many South Africans are reacting to the documentary on social media.
Some are astounded as to how women could have been duped by the handsome Israeli man, who conned them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Others however, including the below celebs, have poked fun at the absurdity of it all, and have even turned it into a viral challenge.
SA CELEBS DO THE ‘TINDER SWINDLER’ CHALLENGE
The Tinder Swindler challenge started with model and businesswoman Shashi Naidoo who first shared a tongue-in-cheek post about the series on her Instagram account.
Sharing a picture of her in full-glam and out and about, Shashi mocked the infamous words uttered by Simon Leviev in the series.
“My enemies are against me! SEND MONEY NOW”, she captioned the pic.
She said in another post: “Will also accept Skyward Miles #MyEnemiesAreAgainstMe”.
The social media post kickstarted the challenge, which was then taken up by media personality Anele Mdoda
